The Department of Corrections Institution at SCI Camp Hill is looking for someone skilled with electronically controlled equipment and internal security to work as a Corrections Locksmith. Apply today!


DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Locksmith for the Department of Corrections, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all locking systems and locking devices in the Institution, inside and out. This includes all sliding doors, grills, gates, and Sally Port gates and yard gates. Also, all grills, gates and sliding doors with tracks, bearings, drive chains, electric motors, gear drives and bushings in addition to the locking devices.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday.
  • Hours per week: 40
  • This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Two years of experience in the locksmith trade; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirement:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • You must pass a background investigation.
