Overview:
Reports To: Distribution Supervisor

Primary Functions:
Responsible for delivering all internal and external mail and supplies in accordance with the established courier schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to pick up, sort and distribute of mail and supplies to departments including the transfer of documents to the Records Department and the transfer of shred to the Disposal Clerk in accordance with established schedules.
  • Completes assigned daily routes according to established schedules to include the daily delivery of posted mail to United States Postal Service (USPS) facility.
  • Assist in the transfer of various equipment and furniture as needed.
  • Assist with processing all outgoing mail as required
  • Ensure the mailroom is maintained in a clean, orderly and secure manner
  • Operate and maintain fleet vehicles according to the Alaska USA Drivers Guidelines for Credit Union Vehicles Use & Maintenance policy
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: High school graduate of equivalent.

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education:
Not Applicable

Experience/Skills:
Must be capable of lifting 70 pounds. Must have demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision. This position requires a valid driver's license, acceptable and insurable driving record, pre-employment physical, pre-employment and random drug testing. May be required to use own vehicle.

Tenure:
Courier II - Operator, category 16, requires twelve months tenure in the Courier I - Operator position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Must possess strong knowledge of department and employee locations and driver's safety training offered by department. Directly related work experience and/or accelerated training completion may be substituted for tenure.
Compensation:
Courier I - Operator (Category 17):

Salary Pay Range:
$34,840 - $49,125 annually. Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.
