The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the privileging and credentialing process for all providers, licensed clinicians and ancillary staff.
Essential Functions
  • Initiate CHBC requests and notify the Operations team of results.
  • Send out initial credentialing paperwork to candidates, and call candidates to ensure receipt.
  • Gather pre-qualification documents ensuring the candidate meets the minimum qualifications.
  • Complete prime source verifications (education, employment, licensure, certification, etc.). Conduct reference checks and send out military reference paperwork as required.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of facility-required health paperwork.
  • Submit completed prequalification, technical and full packages.
  • Correct and resubmit any file errors to the client.
  • Monthly Audit of all new hire files.
  • Quarterly audit on re-credentialing files Special projects as assigned.
Key Performance Expectations
  • Technical packages are submitted to the client within 7 days.
  • Credentialed files with no privileges submitted to the client within 14 days.
  • Credentialed files with privileges submitted to the client within 21 days.
Required Education and Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare credentialing.
  • Strong organizational skills reflecting ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be a self-starting individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft office products.

Pay Rate: $20 - $23 an hour
