UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a MULTIPLE FULL-TIME CULINARY ASSOCIATES The Culinary Associate prepares and serves hot and cold foods for all hospital food related functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Produces/prepares, presents, and serves food items by following specifications on production sheets, standardized menus, computerized recipes, verbal instructions, patients’ prescribed diet orders, or customer requests
  • Maintains sanitary working conditions and practices approved food safety procedures, stores food and food supplies according to HACCP procedures
  • Maintains and documents temperatures of all food items and equipment. Follows established guidelines including: taking temperatures, documenting and filing data to be stored for hot and cold foods, and dating, labeling, proper storage, and daily handling of products
  • Cleans and sanitizes production and storage work areas
  • Coordinates production and provision of appropriate meal items with café, catering, and patient care staff

    REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
  • Current Washington State Food Handler's Permit
  • At least two years institutional, restaurant or commercial cooking experience is required (one year of culinary training may replace one year of experience)
