Job Title: Production Technician

Reports to: Cultivation/Manufacturing Management Team

Founded in 2014, Bloom is one of the largest family-owned, vertically integrated cannabis companies in the country. We handle all aspects of our cannabis operations in-house – from new market evaluation and entry to facilities build-out, compliance, and marketing.

Currently licensed in five states to grow, manufacture and/or dispense medical marijuana products, we’re expanding rapidly as we continue to earn new state licenses.

We are currently seeking a Production Technician. The successful candidate will receive training to prepare them to serve as a key asset for both our post-harvest and packaging departments.

The Production Technician will be responsible for harvesting and trimming cannabis plant matter accurately and efficiently. They will also be required to accurately measure, package, and inventory various products efficiently - as directed by managers and supervisors.

The position requires a strong attention to detail, general computer skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will possess maturity, a strong work ethic, accountability, and a passion for cannabis.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Accurately pack, fill, label, and organize finished goods into respective containers/packaging
  • Train and trim cannabis plants according to the standards provided
  • Create and apply product labels in accordance with product information, testing results, and correct customer information
  • Maintain forms and databases to accurately record weight, product count, and issues
  • Provide updates and identify potential issues to managers on a regular basis
  • Weigh and package raw product in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure packaging specifications are met
  • Clean containers, materials, supplies, and work areas thoroughly - using cleaning solutions and hand tools
  • Utilize METRC, a web-based software platform, to properly retrieve, deduct, and relocate ordered product (Training will be provided upon hire)
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Knowledge about shipping & receiving, as well as creating packages and manifests is preferred but not required
  • Experience working with concentrates or edibles recommended but not required
  • Previous experience working in a post-harvest setting is preferred but not required
  • Must be able to comply with safety requirements
  • Accountability, a proactive attitude, and meticulous attention to detail are essential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
