The ideal candidate should have a strong background in ecommerce merchandising, experience managing product life cycles and vendor relationships, and a proven track record of delivering successful merchandise strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting market research and analysis to identify customer needs and trends in order to inform merchandise planning and selection.
• Developing and implementing a product assortment plan that balances customer demand and business goals.
• Negotiating and managing relationships with vendors to secure product offerings and favorable pricing.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, operations, and web development, to ensure the online shopping experience is optimized and meets customer expectations.
• Overseeing the product life cycle, from product selection to product retirements, to ensure product offerings are current and relevant.
• Analyzing sales data and customer feedback to continuously improve the merchandise strategy and product offerings.
• Developing and managing merchandise budgets, including product margins and inventory levels, to ensure financial goals are met.
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in ecommerce merchandising to continuously improve the merchandise strategy.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience as a product manager in a relevant field or equivalent position
• Strong knowledge of ecommerce merchandising
• Familiarity with key business software platforms a plus (e.g., Magento, Shopify, Big Commerce).
• In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g., ecommerce, web merchandising, marketplace, etc.)
• Highly motivated with a spirit and passion for working in a high-growth environment
• Strong sense of purpose and identify with a strong work ethic/entrepreneurship
• A strategic thinker that will operate as a business partner with the product management team to help drive growth of the business
• Superior negotiation skills in both internal and external settings
• Proven ability to plan and manage operational process for maximum efficiency and productivity
• Start-up and fast paced, dynamic work experience is a plus
• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance / operation metrics / KPI's.
