New Mexico Highlands University Las Vegas, NM 87701

$15 an hour
Housing & Student Conduct Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean and sterile environment for assigned areas. Duty areas include the assigned areas for Student Housing Complexes, Residence Halls and Campus Apartments.
  • This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement upon completion of probationary period.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Vacuum, sweep, and empty trash receptacles;
  • Clean fixtures, blinds, pictures, shelves, drapes and ashtrays;
  • Wash windows;
  • Clean restrooms and kitchens;
  • Move furniture and perform set-ups as necessary;
  • Shampoo carpets, strip and wax floor as required;
  • Shovel snow in entryways as required;
  • Mop floors on a regular basis;
  • Maintain regular attendance;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements
  • EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
  • EXPERIENCE: Six (6) months demonstrated related experience
Special Conditions for Eligibility
  • Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, holidays, odd hours, and emergency calls;
  • Must be able to speak and write in English.
