The Addison Northwest School District is seeking interested people to join our Maintenance crew. These positions are responsible to provide a clean and healthy atmosphere for all students and employees. The positions will be a regular 8 hour/day schedule and include some possible weekends and special events. Full-time will be 40 hours/week.Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Clean building floors, vacuum, sweep, dust mop, wash, strip, wax, and buffClean and stock bathroomsWash and clean windows, walls, trash cans, water fountains and sinksDust furniture, fixtures, and woodworkMove furniture, equipment and suppliesProvide set up and break down of cafeteria, gymnasium, auditorium or other spaces for special eventsEmpty trash receptacles and pick up litter in and around the buildingsRepair/replace ceiling tiles; replace light bulbsRemove snow from immediate walks and exits and spread snow melting chemicalsAssume responsibility for general security of building assigned, ensure all exit doors are secure and are working properly during occupancyAdhere to work safety and security proceduresRequirements: High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)Frequently moves equipment/objects weighing up to 50 poundsMust be able to effectively and efficiently operate under stressful situations including managing multiple prioritiesBackground check including Fingerprinting, Driving Record, & Criminal Records CheckComputer literacy, or willingness to be trainedInterested applicants may apply online at: www.schoolspring.com ORA letter of interest, resume, and three (3) current letters of reference sent to: Gary Wright, Director of Buildings, Grounds and SafetyVergennes Union High School50 Monkton RoadVergennes, VT 05491gwright@anwsd.org
