About the Role:

As the Customer Account Coordinator, you will maintain records of quantity and type of inventory on raw material, supplies and finished goods. Works with production, buyers, warehouse, customers, and vendors to reorder and coordinate movement of inventory so that materials are available to meet production schedules and finished goods are available to meet customer demands.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inputs receipts, transfers, production, and shipments to inventory system
  • Track production vs. customer demand
  • Creates daily workorders and placards for production
  • Maintains inventory and shipping records in the Stellar system and for some customers in the customer’s on-site system
  • Submits component transfer requests for movements from off-site warehouse to production facility
  • Compares production schedules with inventory levels for the purpose of identifying potential inventory shortages and resolving them
  • Communicates with customers regarding production schedules, shipping activity and inventory
  • Prepares periodic and month end reports as required by customers
  • Compiles information on receipt and disbursement of materials, finished goods and components
  • Identify depleted items or items that have reached reorder points, place necessary orders for components

  • Completes cycle counts on raw materials, finished goods and components based on a provided schedule and reports counts to supervisor for any necessary adjustments
  • Reconciles the difference between physical counts and the inventory records and reports reasons for discrepancies
  • Participate in planning and completion of physical inventories as necessary
  • Performs other routine clerical functions such as scanning, filing, and copying
  • Reports any unsafe working conditions to supervisor
  • Performs other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Ability to read, write and speak English so that individual can prepare reports and routine correspondence, gather information from other departments, read and interpret operational policies and procedure manuals and communicate information to customers
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts and to compute discounts, interest, commissions, proportions percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Requires a minimum of an associate degree in a business-related discipline or three to five years of experience working with inventory related systems
  • Individual must be able to operate a PC and must be able to move or lift up to 50 pounds
  • Prefer an individual who has worked with Microsoft products and has worked with SAGE 100 and SAP accounting software

COMMUNICATION

  • Individual will have daily contact with co-workers, with supervisors in the warehouse and production areas and with management
  • Incumbents will also have regular contact with customers, trucking companies, with drivers and vendors
  • Communication will include giving and receiving information, problem solving, placing orders and limited negotiation
  • Communication will be both oral and in writing and requires the use of tact and courtesy

PHYSICAL DEMAND

  • The employee spends majority of the day sitting and working with computer
  • Must be able to sit, stand, key information, retrieve information from a computer screen and written documents, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch
  • Work is primarily done in an office environment
  • Individual spends time in warehouse and the plant on a daily basis
  • Employee may be exposed to various chemicals
  • Employee must be able to wear a respirator and/or other personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary to reduce exposure
  • Employee must be able to work in heat and cold for brief periods
