Customer Account Executive
Responsibilities:
The position is an office position responsible for customer service, maintaining existing accounts and generating new customers & marketing for the Siemer Specialty Ingredients division in Teutopolis, IL. Must be able to establish and maintain professional relationships with appropriate customer personnel through phone, personal visits and email. Must be attentive to responding to inquiries and requests made by customers. Advise customers of current happenings affecting commodities market and book flour contracts for customers. Prepare and present price quotes and account balances on a regular basis and at the customer's request. Some travel will be required. This position requires making cold calls and continuous efforts to sell new accounts. Maintain close working relationships with operations and laboratory employees on special requests, samples, and/ or unusual analyticals. Assist scheduling staff in taking orders, identifying problems, and communicating to customers. Submits activity/call reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, and problems concerning customers/vendor relationships through the use of customer relationship management systems. Coordinate convention arrangement. Attend sales and educational seminars and activities to stay up-to date on the latest developments, trends, and regulations in the marketplace. Assist in the collection of delinquent accounts.
Qualifications:
  • Individual must excel in respect, trust and responsibility, striving for continuous improvement, commitment to excellence.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Successful work experience in one or more of the following areas is required: customer service, marketing, customer negotiation and sales.
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable and professional.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and vendors.
  • Experience with MS Office, Internet and customer relationship management systems preferred.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to calculate accurate pricing is required.
  • Able to travel to meet customer’s needs.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm, overtime and travel as needed
