Where the Chemistry Happens

Our team is searching for a Customer Care Team Lead who is responsible for the supervision and development of roughly 9 customer care representatives /specialists within the Customer Care team while maintaining order to cash operations. As a Team Lead you will aid in the execution of the Customer Experience Strategy to ensure we are meeting and/or exceeding the expectations of our customers and internal stakeholders.

As a Customer Care Team Lead you create chemistry by…

  • Leading day-to-day operations for customer support enabling specialists to perform all order to cash duties, establishing objectives and conducting regular performance reviews for your team.
  • Conducting quality monitoring of reports’ performance via shadowing and as NCM investigator, and delegating and distributing work to the team.
  • Providing project leadership and coaching across functions including cross BU and global projects by organizing clear key deliverables, establishing, and meeting deadlines, action item resolution, information sharing with stakeholders, decision making, and collaboration.
  • Utilizing analytical skills for evaluating and communicating OTC metrics, reporting Month end activities, NCM investigation, and working with business partners for process and customer experience improvements.
  • Participating in several cross-functional meetings, sales meetings, and other business meetings as required and ensuring action is taken by your team members.
  • Being responsible for order confirmation/material management, communication between customer, business unit and supply chain partners depending on the needs of the team (primarily in a back-up situation).
  • Providing employee feedback, coaching, and development.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent


Your formula for success…

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of related experience preferred OR 6 years Customer Care,
  • Supply Chain, IS, Sales, Commercial work experience required without degree.
  • Related experience in activities including order to cash, procurement, supply chain planning, and/or transportation management. Demonstrated leadership capability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, SAP/relevant enterprise resource planning
  • Cross business unit and cross functional ability to influence others
  • General business acumen
  • Strong organizational awareness
  • Ability to coach and mentor others
