Customer Services Specialist I Job at Georgia State University
Georgia State University Department of PantherDining is seeking a Customer Services Specialist I to join our team. This position provides excellent customer service. Greets and acknowledges customers, maintains outstanding solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service standards. This position may be required to be cross-trained for another position and/or responsibility in order to provide both back-up for a department as well as to supplement resources needed during certain times of the year.
Job Specific Duties Include:
- Accurately and efficiently utilizes POS systems and maintains all cash and media at the registers.
- Communicates customer request to management.
- Maintains awareness of daily menu items and knowledge of meal plans. Attentive to guest needs.
- Counts and reconciles funds during shifts to ensure adequate funds.
- Restocks assigned supplies and brochures.
- Accurately records patron counts.
- Maintains neat appearance at the registers and in the front of house areas.
- Keeps beverage machines, napkins holders, silverware, plates, bowls, and cups filled and maintained. Helps keep table and service areas clean.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED and one year of customer service, administrative, or office experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Requirements:
- Previous customer service experience.
- Previous cash handling experience.
- Ability to work in all temperature conditions.
- Physical Requirements: Extended standing, walking, ability to bend, stoop, reach and climb ladders.
- Ability to lift 35 pounds.
- Ability to work in all temperature conditions.
- Flexible schedule to include nights and weekends.
