The Arc Mid-Hudson, with locations in Ulster, Greene, Putnam, and Columbia counties, has a full-time opportunity on our dynamic Information Technology team for a Data Analyst.

Our Data Team lends technical expertise to staff across the agency, specifically geared towards supplying data products, systems, and programs, that serve the mission of the Arc of Mid-Hudson.

Key responsibilities of the position will involve, but won’t be limited to:

  • Be the go-to person who builds and maintains solutions that enable the export, conversion, import and visualization of data.
  • Work with staff throughout the agency to understand their data needs.
  • Develop and maintain scripts, processes, or applications that simplify and automate workflows.
  • Improve data governance, backup and security, specifically around data systems.
  • Help identify and select relevant products and solutions that serve the three agencies.
  • Provide guidance to end users for the various data systems/products to maximize the use of those products.

HOURS: 40/Monday through Friday/must be flexible

Minimum Qualifications

  • Office located in Kingston, NY. Remote work is possible, with occasional travel to Kingston or surrounding areas when needed for meetings or other business needs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer/data related discipline or at least 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Self-directing team player with an interest in the field of Business Intelligence.
  • Passionate about users’ needs and helping them address their challenges.
  • Quick learner and good teacher.
  • Willingness to own a problem, figure out solutions in independent manner whilst collaborating intensively with the rest of the IT team on any IT related topic that may need attention.
  • Experience with expression languages (e.g. Excel formulas, SQL queries, R, Python, PowerShell, and Regular expressions) and/or other scripting languages.
  • Understand the automation of tasks, i.e. export, import, and reporting tasks in a Windows environment.
  • Understand data models, data warehousing, and the ETL process.
  • Comfortable with a Windows computer environment, running MS Office Productivity Software.
  • Understand and implement security best practices to ensure the security and integrity of agencies data.
  • Detail oriented and organized.

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data, specifically centered on those with developmental disabilities.
  • Familiar with the requirements of HIPAA and HITECH.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, MS Dynamics, and EHR Systems.
  • Experience with various data types, including financial, HR, health-care.
  • A passion for working in a field that serves those with developmental disabilities
