Data Analyst Job Summary:
The Data Analyst will utilize database software, Microsoft, Excel and other tools to analyze data and identify trends requiring action by local government agencies and partner organizations. The Data Analyst will also be responsible for preparing reports, presentations and other media required to communicate the information to both internal and external stakeholders.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the Overdose Fatality Review team members to identify and create solutions for needs of at-risk populations.
  • Collects data that depicts trends in local populations.
  • Works closely with the Overdose Fatality Review team members to gather requirements for data reporting.
  • Develops data driven reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create, revise and manage federal grant program budgets as well as identify opportunities for cost savings during programmatic operations.
  • Works with grant staff and the county fiscal department to ensure accuracy of grant ledgers, as well as complete and submit quarterly fiscal grant reports in a timely manner.
  • Performs other Grant requirements as needed.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong mathematical/accounting skills.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient user of other MS applications.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Public Health, Accounting, Computer Science or a related field required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • The Lackawanna County District Attorney is an AA/EOE

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,635.00 per year
