DATA & ANALYTICS ENGINEER (Billerica, MA) ***MAY TELECOMMUTE UP TO 90%”

The Data & Analytics (D&A) Engineer will support Cabot Corp in becoming a data-driven organization including support of initiatives that ensure reliable, secure, and timely data access to business and technical stakeholders and to continuously improve its Data Management Maturity by stewardship of data hygiene, best practices, security, and compliance. These initiatives include defining a comprehensive data management strategy in alignment with the business, security and IT strategies, data governance and data security requirements compliance, and the establishment and measurement of the data lifecycle processes using key metrics and continuous improvement.

DATA MANAGEMENT - In collaboration with the domain and solution architects, define and develop data services that facilitate seamless data access across the Cabot Corp business and plant solutions landscape; Provide technical insight for key initiatives that accelerate the development of the data management platforms and architecture (Master Data Management, Data Quality Monitoring, Master Data Governance); Facilitate innovation initiatives to explore the use of emerging information lifecycle and data management concepts; Support the definition and design of a standards-based data architecture that helps realize the data management strategy; Identify data and analytics platforms, technologies, and tools and implement with relevant business cases; collaborate with the architecture & innovation teams to introduce new and fit-to-purpose innovative technologies; Work with the business champions and the architecture & innovation team to continuously evolve the data and analytics technologies and toolsets that drive tangible business value; Collaborate with the Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) and Service Management teams to ensure that platforms and products adhere to the data management strategy and exceptions, if any, are managed; Lead the development of Information Technology (IT) & Operation Technology (OT) data integration patterns, standards, and best practices; Inventory the current data integrations and opportunistically drive towards realizing the integration strategy; ANALYTICS & REPORTING - Builds Cabot’s Analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) capabilities while also ensuring distribution and delivery of high-quality analytics solutions and BI reports; Define, design, and operationalize data pipelines in support of key D&A use cases; Design and develop reports, dashboards, and interactive visualizations, and work with data warehouses, data integration, and data modeling to support business decisions; GENERAL - Work collaboratively and participate in meetings with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives; Assist other employees in pursuit of Cabot Corp. company goals; Participate in Safety, Health, & Environment initiatives as set forth by the company; Participate in and complete company-required training programs; Follow instructions and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor; Participate in on-site meetings at minimum 10%; May work remotely/telecommute up to 90%. Located in Billerica, MA.

Requires Bachelors degree or FDE/Foreign Degree Equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field AND 5 years of progressive experience in data analytics or information technology. Requires 5 years of experience in the following: Working in a global/multi-national organization; Working with diverse datasets, parsing and understanding data; Working with domain experts, data scientists, and analysts in framing the business problem and provisioning integrated data quickly across heterogeneous technology environments; Maintaining strong relationships with business partners to provide analytical and technical support for analytics and BI activities; Working in data & analytics domain; Analyzing alternatives and implementing systems that are responsive to organization requirements; Working across multiple technology initiatives; Consulting, communicating and organizing to influence stakeholders across IT internal and external business groups; ***Up to 90% telecommuting allowed. Must be on-site for meetings at minimum 10%.
