East West Staffing, Inc. (EWS) is currently seeking an experienced Data Center Technician

Requirements of the Data Center Technician

· High school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.

· Experience on AT&T or VzW Networks preferred

· Cisco, Nokia, Ciena, Juniper, Fujitsu experience preferred

· Knowledge of AC/DC electronics, telco -48 volt DC systems and power distribution equipment

· Commissioning and Integration experience required

· Ability to work on ladders, demonstrated manual dexterity, and lift and carry loads up to 40 lbs.

· Must be adaptable to changing environments.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities of the Data Center Technician

· Test and turn-up of TDM, ATM, IP, DSL, ADSL, FTTP, Ethernet, IPTV, and SONET equipment

· Install network routers, switches, LTE, and other various equipment.

· Have the skills to do basic configuration of network equipment to include routers, switches, CWDM, DWDM, and power plants.

· Installation skills for the installation of telecommunication infrastructure, to include install relay racks, fiber management, ladder rack, top support, etc.

· Perform network tests and analysis to ensure the highest level of network performance.

· Perform expert analysis of network data and test results and make recommendations and/or take action to optimize network performance.

· Escalate network issues using professional judgement.

· Escalate issues with corrective recommendations required to meet system in-service deadlines.

· Resolve complex technical issues by interfacing with multiple levels of technical support within the customer company.

· Test and turn-up active equipment.

· Perform power and grounding installations on new equipment.

· Perform equipment power verification and power-up.

· Perform software upgrades on active equipment.

· Run and connect fiber cables; label all cables and equipment

· Read and interpret engineering specs, prints, and drawings.

· Maintain on-site job records and administration tracking.

· Work unsupervised at remote sites on a day to day basis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Atlanta, GA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
