The Role
We are seeking Mission Driven Data engineers to join our team supporting one of the most valuable U.S. Government customers. You will be responsible for Preparing, maintaining, and improving data pipelines to solve our customers’ hardest mission problems. As an Cyberhill Intel Engineer, you will and your team will be responsible for developing and maintain data pipelines by Extracting, Transforming, and Loading data into data science compute environments, data layers, and standalone systems, and programmatically interface environments to datasets throughout the Customer organization. You will leverage everything at your disposal: core industry products, open-source technologies (e.g.,GHE), and anything you and your team can build to drive real impact. In this role, you work with customers around the globe, where you gain rare insight into the world’s most important industries and institutions.
Required or Core Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience in the manipulation and exploitation of data
  • Demonstrated experience scoping, developing, and maintaining data models
  • Proficiency with major tools and languages such as Java, Python, Postgresql/SQL
  • Proficiency with regular expressions.
  • Familiarity with industry best-practices for software-hardware optimization when processing large datasets:
Preferred or Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  • Experience working with Palantir Foundry is strongly desired
  • Familiarity with telecommunications metadata and content analysis
  • Experience with Hadoop, Spark, or other parallel storage/computing processes:
What We Value
  • Strong engineering background, preferably in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics.
  • Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools, as well as an understanding of how technical decisions impact the user of what you’re building.
  • Proficiency with programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
  • Ability to work effectively in teams of technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Skill and comfort working in a rapidly changing environment with dynamic objectives and iteration with users.
  • Demonstrated ability to continuously learn, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness and interest to travel as needed (including overseas) per the needs of the business
  • (As required by U.S. Government contract) U.S. citizenship.
  • (As required by U.S. Government contract) Varied clearance level TS/SCI with FSP.
