About this Position:

The Data Scientist will be a key member of Aptiv Connected Services’ Data Science team. Our centralized team supports multiple areas of the organization, and has full access to a vast library of high-frequency and comprehensive vehicle data. We use advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques to generate business insights for our customers and take the lead in developing cutting edge models to support our product offerings.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work as part of our centralized data science team, collaborating and engaging with multiple functional areas within the organization.
• Process, manipulate, and explore large engineering and operational data sets across a range of platforms to uncover trends, generate insights, identify anomalies, and train models.
• Work closely with product leadership and subject matter experts to identify and develop analytics solutions to enhance our product offerings and solve business problems.
• Support the MLOps, data engineering, and product teams to productionize and deploy scalable models and solutions on our cloud and edge platforms.

Requirements:

• University degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or a similar field.
• 2+ years of working experience in data science and/or similar applications of extracting value from data is desired.
• Ability to frame and solve problems using statistical modeling and analysis.
• Experience with Python and data science related libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, Dask, PySpark, Keras, and TensorFlow.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases and knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Experience doing data science work in cloud environments.
• Exposure to deploying predictive models and machine learning algorithms into production environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of and/or experience in the automotive industry is a plus, but not required.
• Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills.
