As part of our Technology Services team, you'll help develop our IT, security, compliance and internal systems and tools to meet the needs of our business. The Data Warehousing Lead is responsible for defining, developing, and maintaining the data models and data warehousing systems pertaining to the enterprise data warehouse architecture and its implementation at TELUS Agriculture and Consumer Goods.

Here's how

• Document, implement and maintain the data warehouse data architecture and related business processes
• Serve as source of knowledge of data warehouse data architecture industry practices and processes
• Participate in the development of enterprise standards and guidelines for data model quality and accuracy to support information management
• Analyze information and data requirements and understand effects of data inconsistencies
• Participate in the development of enterprise data model and data architecture strategy for the organization
• Define and follow best engineering practices to develop, test and automatically deploy database objects to all environments
• Identify inefficiencies in current architecture and processes and communicate solutions in a manner that gets support from the teams involved
• Diagnose and resolve issues throughout data warehouse environment - security, data issues

What you bring to this role
The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of data warehouse design and architecture - has the ability to leverage technologies Oracle PL/SQL and include Unix, Python, Informatica, GCP Big Query. Snowflake is also essential to implement data ingestion, staging, transformation and modelling processes to support the data warehouse and business intelligence environment of a business that is growing rapidly and has a multi ERP landscape. Experience in sourcing data from various ERP and CRM systems (SAP, NetSuite, Great Plains, Sage, Salesforce.com) would be an advantage.
