Daytime General Maintenance Engineer Job at The Dewberry Charleston
- Repair and maintain all facilities structures and systems throughout the hotel to include but not limited to: plumbing, electrical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, carpentry, paint and wall covering.
- Perform preventative, routine and urgent maintenance functions.
- Climb ladders, scaffolding or utility poles to complete tasks.
- Move or lift heavy objects as needed.
- Read technical drawings, instructions and blueprints.
- Document all repair and maintenance activities as required.
- Follow OSHA regulations.
- Complies with required safety regulations.
- Greets guests and anticipates and satisfies guest requests
- Adheres to hotel service standards.
- Notifies appropriate dept any escalated problems.
Job Requirements:
1. High school diploma/GED required.
2. Three to five years maintenance and repair experience.
3. Must have drivers license and clean driving record.
4. Ability to lift fifty pounds, bend and stand for long periods of time.
5. Ability operate hand tools, power tools and machinery.
6. Ability to read blueprints and tape measure.
7. Dependable work ethic with a positive attitude.
8. Team player
