Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develops departmental goals, and key performance indicators to support the company’s annual and 5-year strategic plan.
  • Demonstrates and enforces an environment of safety, process standardization, continuous improvement, and productivity.
  • Balances daily resources against business need to meet customer request dates and avoid chargebacks.
  • Communicates as needed with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders in a timely, personable, and professional manner.
  • Leads teams to apply LEAN concepts and recommends and implements actions to improve productivity.
  • Ensures that all personnel have an individual development plan that supports their career plan and individual goals.
  • Oversees all functions performed in the warehouse which include: receiving, inventory control, order selection, invoicing, pick & pack, loading, interviewing/hiring, training, leading, and motivating warehouse team.

Qualifications of this job?

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field. Equivalent work experience and education will be considered.
  • 5+ years experience in Distribution/Logistics and must be capable of running entire operation.
  • 5+ years of strong leadership and team-building skills, ability to mentor/coach employees to develop their skills and create a team environment.
  • Extensive experience in warehouse management and processes.
  • Proven experience with Continuous Improvement; Six Sigma or LEAN experience desired.
  • Experience with fulfillment systems required.
  • Demonstrated strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion to apply knowledge to variable situations.
  • Ability to interpret information received and adjust approach to meet company and department goals.
  • Must hold current, valid drivers’ license and provide proof of current automobile insurance.
