About the role

Are you passionate about food, have high-energy and love working with people? We’re looking for a team member in the deli department our family-owned food market to prepare foods and serve our customers!

What You’ll Do: Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, weigh, and price prepared foods and deli for sale, according to established procedures
• Maintain product quality, monitoring freshness and ensuring proper rotation of product
• Ensure a fresh, well-stocked and appealing displays of prepared foods
• Maintain accurate department signage and pricing
• Maintain and monitor the use of temperature, production, spoilage, and department transfer logs
• Provide outstanding customer service and help keep our customers coming back
• Follow established department opening and closing procedures
• Assist leadership, as required, to select, train, develop, mentor, motivate and counsel team members in a manner that builds and sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover
• Maintain a clean and well organized work area
• Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices

• Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness
• You are able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Knowledge of proper knife-handling skills
• Basic proficiency with computer applications and programs including email, Google Drive, and operations related applications
