Delivery Assistant Job at Ivan Smith Furniture
Must be 21 or older. Pay dependent on experience hourly pay plus incentive every pay period. Valid Texas Driver's License required. We are seeking someone with warehouse experience in addition to driving skills and outstanding customer service. Also, must be comfortable with some computer use. Great benefits available including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, etc. Acceptable drug test, background check and MVR required.
Essential Functions:
- Load and unload delivery trucks
- Maintain cargo area of truck
- Deliver merchandise to customers and/or stores
- Communicate with customers and warehouse
- Assist driver with directions and truck maneuvering
- Touch-up furniture as necessary
- Follow procedures to help maintain inventory
- other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Ability to lift 100 pounds with or without lifting devices on a recurring basis
- Must meet DOT requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Good communication skills
- General maintenance skills
- Mechanical knowledge and installation experience
- Satisfactory result from criminal background investigation
