Midsouth Route Delivery Driver

Location:

Ripley, TN

Best Wade Petroleum, Inc. is the leading Mobil Distributor in the Mid-South with operations in three states.

The Route Delivery Driver is the "face" of the company and is expected to create and maintain a work environment that shows concern for the safety of the company's customers and people. This position requires working primarily outdoors in all weather conditions, unless it puts you or the public at risk. It also requires driving trucks to and from customers' locations, which requires hours in a heavy truck and on customers' sites. This requires working mostly days and we have a rotating weekend call out schedule.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Always have current bill of lading in possession and maintain delivery log to show where the loads were distributed.
• Deliver customers with the proper products in a professional, safe and timely manner.
• Ensure the route assigned is completed and all customer units are delivered.
• Always complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the truck.
• Maintain DVRs, route logs, and accurate inventory of the truck.
• Submit or turn in all invoices, delivery logs, bill of lading, and handheld files at the end of each day as to ensure timely billing to our customers.
• Communicate with management should situations arise such as breakdowns, missed customer, delayed loading at the terminal, etc.
• Report any safety violations, company policy violations, accidents, injuries, spills, or customer complaints to your supervisor, immediately.
• Obey all traffic and DOT rules and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe operating truck.

Job Qualifications:

• Must possess a Class A or B license, Tanker & Hazmat Endorsement Required
• Minimum of two years of verifiable commercial driving experience
• Must have a satisfactory background and driving record
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen and physical
• Ability to pull a product weighing up to 120 pounds with out pallet jack.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language
• Must be able to keep a fast pace while maintaining accuracy
• Must possess a “Can Do” attitude and be a team player when it comes to safety, customer service and fellow employees
• Must be familiar with the area the position will service
• Must possess basic math skills
