Delphi Developer

Summary

In this role you must have experience as a Delphi Developer. You will be required to analyze customer needs and develop overall concept and design objectives. The developer must be able to create software in a variety of programming languages and for a variety of IT software applications. You’ll analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution you’re developing considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. You’ll need to be able to work both independently and as part of a larger team.

Responsibilities Include but not limited to

• Analyzes technical issues
• Participates as a member of development support team
• Designs solutions
• Contributes to design activities
• Develops code independently
• Participates in code reviews and may lead code reviews
• Must have experience in coordinating with QA, Development, packaging and hardware teams.
• Supports updates to Defect Management Plan, Monthly Code Plans, Monthly Summary Defect Reports, Annual Summary Defect Reports, Product Sustainment Reports
• Must have experience in documenting releases, risks and in maintaining the schedule of planned releases.
• Experience in a DevSecOps and scrum environment

Basic Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related scientific /technical discipline
• Experience with service orientation concepts and enabling technologies
• Experience with Software Development and Implementation
• Software development skills, including design, development, testing, deployment and support
• 5 years of experience in debugging and correcting errors in computer programs.
• 5 years of experience using Agile methodologies, system architecture and DELPHI
• Ability to obtain VA Medium-Background Investigation clearance

Technical Skills

• Experience writing code using languages such as (and not limited to) COBOL, PL/1, Java, C, C++, C#, VB.Net, Delphi
• Experience using software development version control (e.g., GitHub)
• Excellent experience using an Integrated Development Environment (e.g., Eclipse, Visual Studio)
• Experience using issue tracking product Jira
• Experience with XML/XSD Information Exchange Package Documentation (IEPD)
• Experience using IntelliJ IDEA
• Experience with MUMPS
• Experience with VistA
• Experience with containerized applications and management systems such as Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift
• Experience with BPM tools such as Camunda
• Experience with CI/CD process tools like Jenkins
• Experience with any AWS technologies

Security Clearance Requirements

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active Public Trust security clearance with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
