Dental Receptionist Job at Commerce Dental Group
Commerce Dental Group Charter Township of Commerce, MI 48382
We are looking for a friendly dental receptionist to join our team. We need someone who will make things run more efficiently and pleasant for patients. Schedule can start as early as 8am and end as late as 7:30pm (depending on day). Must be willing to work some Saturdays (8:30am-1:30pm). Required to work Tuesday until 7:30pm, but other work days end by 4 or 5pm.
Qualifications/Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests
- Schedule appointments
- Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls
- Insurance verification and billing
- Carry out office procedures smoothly and efficiently
- Prepare treatment plans and financial arrangements for customers
- Handle dental supply orders
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Obtain medical clearances from physician offices (when applicable)
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Maintain tidy waiting room, staff lounge, and receptionist desk
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
Skills
- Knowledge of dental terminology and dental insurance
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized
- Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment
- Reliable and timely
- High school diploma
PAY IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE AND IS NEGOTIABLE. $16/hour is for candidates with no/minimal experience and will have an opportunity to receive a raise once fully trained.
