Gwinnett County is seeking a Deputy County Administrator to join our senior leadership team. This position provides staff assistance to the County Administrator and the Board of Commissioners and will ensure that all directives, decisions, policies, resolutions, ordinances, and regulations issued by the Board of Commissioners and County Administrator are executed. We are looking for a pragmatic leader with high ethics and integrity, who embraces open government and transparency, as well as having solid management, financial and operational skills.

The County has an annual budget of $1.91 billion and over 5000 full-time employees. Thirteen departments directly report to the County Administrator and ten departments consist of Elected Officials and Constitutional Officers.

Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Public or Business Administration or related field
  • Six years of progressively responsible experience in local government management, public policy development, economic development, planning, or related experience.
