Grant County, an Equal Opportunity Employer, located in Elbow Lake is currently accepting applications for the position of full-time Deputy Treasurer. Required qualifications include a high school diploma and an associates/technical degree with coursework in accounting, business, or related field and moderate experience

accounting, customer service, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicants must have experience and knowledge of operating personal computers and software applications, including spreadsheets and word processing. The position, under the direction of the County Treasurer, is responsible for performing a variety of duties that include: collecting and reconciling funds due the County; disbursing warrants for all County payables; tax forfeiture’s; issuing vital records and assisting the public with records research; and processing various taxation notices for mailing. This position requires exceptional customer services skills, as this position is the first point of contact to the public. Must have an excellent work ethic, flexibility, research capabilities, and written and oral communication skills designed to explain and implement the functions of the County Treasurer’s Office and to provide support for public requests. Knowledge of the Data Privacy Act is required.

Deputy Treasurer is a full-time, non-exempt, union position. Anticipated pay will depend on experience. Health insurance is available and pension benefits are provided.
