Job Description:
AriensCo is looking for a Designer to join the team at their new manufacturing facility in Fayetteville, TN. The Designer develops and supplies technical information of medium to high complexity such as 3D models, 2D detailed drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to communicate design intent to other groups as required. These groups will include Design Engineering, Tooling, Sourcing, Testing, Analysis, Manufacturing Engineering, Technical Publications, and Industrial Design.
The Day To Day...

Develops and supplies technical information of medium to high complexity such as 3D models, 2D detailed drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to communicate design intent to other groups as required. These groups will include Design Engineering, Tooling, Sourcing, Testing, Analysis, Manufacturing Engineering, Technical Publications, and Industrial Design.

Documents and presents technical information during design reviews, normally in the form of CAD model presentations and manipulations for viewing and discussion.

Develops and evaluates components and assemblies considering design for manufacturing and assembly (DFM/DFA).

May present innovation projects to platform managers, marketing managers, executives, etc.

Performs calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned.

Investigates problems and requirements of assigned projects and develops solutions in line with established project objectives.

Involved in developing technology concepts into prototypes and test pieces to determine viability.

Prepares prototype work by developing 3D models and 2D detailed drawings, ordering manufactured and purchased materials and writing Model Shop job requests.

Supports multiple projects concurrently.

Participates in and may lead technical design reviews related to technology and sub-systems that will be used on assigned platform and innovation projects.

Creates and processes Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) from start to the point of design release for production.

Receives general direction but exercises discretion as to personal work details.

The Requirements...

Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS) such as Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent from an accredited institution.

3-10 years of related experience.
