As a DevereuxCorps DCP, you will use your experience and education in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Education, or another related field to:* Supervise the planning, implementation, and documentation of program activities and leisure time designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs of our individuals

  • Coach and assist our individuals in achieving their goals for daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning, budgeting, shopping, and personal hygiene
  • Plan and participate in community outings, shopping trips, and day programs/school
  • Be a mentor to other staff, conduct observations, and provide feedback for required training
  • Support and facilitate individual and group interventions and therapeutic activities, including but not limited to life skills and social skills, per treatment plans and program expectations
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and compassionate treatment environment, including time on and off facility grounds and during transportation

Located in southeastern Pennsylvania, we offer residential treatment centers that provide a professional therapeutic environment for children, adolescents, and adults facing significant emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges.

  • $1,000 sign-on bonus

Pay range for this position is $16.00

Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children*

The IDEAL candidate will... Additionally, you must be able to complete the required new hire orientation class and have a strong passion for supporting individuals with special needs.Physical Requirements: Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance is required related to applying physical intervention techniques upwards of 75-100 lbs. or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing, and vision. Occasional use of computers and office equipment. Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches.Work Environment: Regularly works inside areas that are adequately lighted and ventilated. Some fluctuations in temperature. Use of Protective equipment such as latex gloves, facial mask, protective eyewear, and gown. Possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
