Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- The Master Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and assembling diesel and gasoline powered equipment.
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
- Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems
- Keep logs of work and report on issues
- Fabricates lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to blueprints or schematic drawings.
- Assists with parts inventory.
- Routine duties are performed with minimal supervision; standard practices or procedures allow employee to proceed alone at routine work.
- Completes all required company, state, and federal paperwork. Maintains accurate system records of labor time, work completed and parts and supplies used in Computerized Maintenance Management Information System software (CMMIS).
- Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.

Working Conditions:
- Normal work hours are 7am to 6pm Monday through Friday.
- Weekend work may be required, as needed.
- Must be able and ready to work in all weather conditions (rain, sun, snow, wind, etc.)
- Must also be able to tolerate a loud work environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills with diesel and hydraulic heavy mobile equipment
- Must be mechanically inclined and have intermediate knowledge obtained through training or work experience.
- Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
- Ability to utilize maintenance and inventory software and perform data input and retrieval.
- Must be able to have basic knowledge of diagnostic procedures utilizing manufacturers’ software and hardware to gauge machine health.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- May perform the simple parts of the tasks without direct supervision and instruction.
- Must be able to have intermediate knowledge of the task (name parts, tools and simple facts.)
- Must have a intermediate knowledge of the subject by being able to identify basic facts and terms about the subject.
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Certificate or Degree program from a two (2) year college or technical school preferred.
- Seven (7) to ten (10) years of related experience and/or training required.
- Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
