In the nonprofit sector, it’s extremely important to maximize every invested dollar – ensuring that the greatest percentage of donor dollars are directed to the important missions we serve. The role we are seeking, the Digital Ads Manager, is a key member of the team that builds and executes the strategy to provide a maximum return on investment.


This position will work closely with other members of the digital team and client account managers to manage campaigns across paid search, social media advertising, YouTube, display (prospecting and retargeting), and Google Ad Grants. Campaigns will also include retargeting and video ads. This position includes 20% strategy, budget allocation, client communication, and 80% hands-on research, segmentation, implementation, optimization, and reporting on campaigns.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Setup, optimize, and manage digital ad campaigns for multiple clients across multiple platforms, such as Google AdWords, Google Display Network, social media ad platforms, AdRoll, etc.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure proper tagging, tracking and attribution through Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Ecommerce Tracking, etc.
  • Audit new clients’ existing paid search campaigns and provide recommendations for immediate improvements.
  • Setup, track, manage, and optimize paid search ads, keywords, and landing page copy
  • Leverage target, custom and lookalike audience information to reach supporters and drive qualified users to website
  • Manage ad budgets, A/B testing ad creatives, setting up audiences, and optimizing for conversion goals identified in partnership with account manager and client
  • Analyze campaign data through individual ad platform analytics, Google Analytics and various attribution tools
  • Make recommendations for new campaigns and existing campaigns as new opportunities arise within the digital advertising space
  • Report on performance results
  • Manage multiple accounts and tasks with effective resolution of conflicting priorities
  • Stay informed of improvements and tools and incorporate new tactics into existing procedures
  • Ability to communicate professionally on client calls and via email
  • Actively collaborate with THD account managers to align digital advertising campaigns with other ongoing initiatives. Must be a team player that is also comfortable working independently
  • Driven, forward-thinking individual with the ability to come up with creative digital advertising solutions

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferable in Marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of SEM
  • Minimum of 2 years of digital agency, marketing, or similar experience
  • Ad platforms; Microsoft, Meta, Google Ads, Google Analytics
  • Advanced knowledge of social media advertising and hands on experience managing social campaigns: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
  • The confidence and curiosity to serve as the ‘go to’ paid search specialist for the agency

Preferred Experience:

  • Google Analytics Certification
