This role is in our Macedon, NY facility.

WHAT WE NEED

The Digital Manufacturing Intern will have the opportunity to accelerate the impact of the digital transformation program at Baldwin Richardson Foods by performing data analysis of the operations data from our IoT/OEE system, Tulip, along with creating new IoT applications prioritized based on discussions with stakeholders and frontline operators.


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

The Intern will be responsible for a project related to data collection and analysis within our manufacturing data functions. Examples of projects could include:

  • Recommendations on OEE improvement within our manufacturing areas stemming from the analysis of Tulip and Prometheus data
  • Digitizing paper-based SOP’s or work instructions
  • Creating new applications to collect data from machine PLC’s and human inputs


TO BE SUCCESSFUL, A CANDIDATE WILL NEED

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Information Technology, or Computer Science with a concentration on data science and analytics.
  • Current 4th year Bachelor’s student, or current Master’s program student is preferred.
  • Solid educational understanding of data collection and analysis processes with a drive to focus on analytics and determining trends and business recommendations.
  • Familiarity with SQL or similar database management.
  • Experience with statistical analysis using platforms such as Minitab and/or R.
  • Some level of programming ability (experience with Python would be a plus).
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and follow-through skill sets.
  • Ability to work autonomously, ask questions, and seek information when needed.
  • Strong oral and written communication as well as interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate with diverse populations.
  • Due to SQF regulations, fluency in written and verbal, in the English language
