Job Overview: The Digital Marketing Manager will execute the Hotel’s social media strategies, as well as support and execute digital marketing with the goal to grow our brand’s influence, while also increasing brand loyalty and awareness. Duties will include planning, implementing, and monitoring digital marketing campaigns across all digital networks. This person will be a self-starter and outstanding communicator with excellent written, creative and strategic messaging skills, who demonstrates strong interpersonal and analytical abilities.

Qualifications:

1) Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, journalism, communications, or related field.

2) Ability to communicate pleasantly with proper grammar in English.

3) 2+ years of experience in Social Media, Graphic Design, &/or Video/photo editing.

4) Highly creative with ability to identify target audiences and devise digital campaigns that engage, inform and drive revenue.

5) Experience using multiple social media platforms to market hotels, respond to guest feedback, and know related metrics and tracking.

6) Ability to provide legible communication.

7) Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.

8) Thorough knowledge of hotel services and amenities.

9) Oral Comprehension - demonstrates listening to and understanding information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

10) Reading Comprehension - understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.

11) Writing - communicates effectively in writing as appropriate for the audience’s needs.

12) Computer Skills - Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, WordPress, and Adobe.

13) Excellent guest service skills and passion for hospitality.

14) Excellent telephone etiquette skills.

1) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with people at different organizational levels inside and outside the company.

Physical Requirements:

1) Ability to sit, stand, and move intermittently during working hours.

4) Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

5) Able to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull, or move goods weighing 50 lbs. on a continuous schedule.

Essential Job Functions:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1) Create and execute digital marketing strategies for The Colony Hotel and oversee the daily management of all social media channels and website

2) Work closely with Ownership, General Manager, Director of Marketing and outside agencies on strategic planning, development and execution of the business’s marketing plans

3) Execute and monitor all tactical aspects of the Hotel’s digital marketing including but not limited to digital partnerships, Facebook, Instagram, websites and any other digital profiles that may arise

4) Available 24 hours, 7 days a week, as needed, to monitor digital marketing channels

5) Measure and report on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns

6) Monitor and report on all direct messages and comments received through the Hotel’s digital platforms

7) Reply to all direct messages and comments received through the Hotel’s digital platforms within 48 hours

8) Funnel all direct messages and comments through the appropriate channels (ie, room reservations go to reservations team, event inquiries go to sales team)

9) Escalate concerning/negative commentary and/or messages to the appropriate team members

10) Ensure website is up-to-date, actively track news related to The Colony Hotel & assist in developing and planning content

11) Assist, within reason, on photography, graphic design and video production

12) Work alongside Ownership, General Manager, Director of Marketing and Communications, and outside agencies to build a sense of collaboration and trust in driving goals and strategic objectives

13) Fulfill digital marketing obligations with brand partners

14) Effectively communicate the hotel’s offerings, stories and collaborations in a method that informs, excites, drives revenue, and always aligns with the hotel’s mission statement and brand tenets

15) Enforce consistent brand voice throughout all digital platforms

16) Curate and manage “behind the scenes” footage of marketing initiatives and events

17) Manage influencer trips, gather content, and ensure contractual commitments are complete

18) Attend standing weekly meetings with the Marketing Team, and other weekly calls/meetings with team members, clients, brand partners, etc as needed

19) Attend events as a Brand Ambassador, as needed, and document events as needed for digital marketing channels

20) Acknowledge and work with confidential and priority company and guest information in performing duties. Must maintain confidentiality and discernment in all projects, calls/meetings and relationships

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
