DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL- DAY SERVICE (ORCHARD PARK) Job at PEOPLE INC.

Direct support professionals play an important role in empowering people with developmental disabilities and other special needs to live successful and fulfilling lives. In this position, you would be assisting people as needed in all activities of daily living and personal care needs.
As a direct support professional in a day services setting, you would work on-site and in the community to explore experiences that are meaningful to the people served by People Inc. Full and part time day shifts available.
Requirements
- 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License that meets agency policy.
- Ability to read and comprehend plans and documentation.
- Basic computer skills necessary for communication and documentation.
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the position when performing the following: standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling and climbing.
- Lifting requirement 35 lbs.
