LOCATIONS & SCHEDULES

We are actively hiring DSPs to work with adult consumers in multiple locations and for various schedules.

We have openings in: Westbrook, Gorham, Scarborough, Saco, Biddeford and Kennebunk.

Schedule #1:

• Sunday 8am to 6pm, Monday 12:30pm to 11pm, Tuesday 12:30pm to 11pm and Wednesday 12:30pm to 8:30pm

Schedule #2:

• Thursday 8am to 8pm, Friday 8am to 8pm, Saturday 8am to 8pm

POSITION SUMMARY

Woodfords Family Services located in Westbrook, ME is in search of hiring full-time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to be caregivers. DSPs work one-on-one with our adult consumers with special needs in our Residential and Independent Living programs.

PAY

Our Direct Support Professional (DSPs) are paid $16.00 hourly and DSPs with CRMA certification are paid $17.00 hourly. Wage increase available once a DSP completes CRMA training and certification.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP) & CRMA

As a part-time or full-time Direct Support Professional, you are a caregiver to adults with developmental disabilities. You will support adult consumers with daily living skills including budgeting, meal prep, housekeeping, grocery shopping, decision making, transportation, and personal support. By offering your compassionate support, you assist individuals to be active in their communities and also accompany individuals on outings and activities. You will support adults to make daily progress toward their goals. As a DSP and CRMA caregiver in our Residential and Independent Living programs, you work independently with an adult consumer as well as cooperatively within a treatment team. To stay at the top of your game, you participate in paid training and opportunities to advance in your career. We support our DSPs to learn new things that improve your skills and gain strategies needed to be successful.

QUALIFICATIONS OF A DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP) & CRMA

DSPs must have a High School Diploma, GED or HiSET. A valid driver's license and use of reliable vehicle with current insurance is necessary. Direct Support Professional (DSP) and CRMA certification is required, but we offer paid DSP and CRMA training, so certification is not needed before you start. DSPs must have good physical strength and be able to bend, lift and stand. The DSP & CRMA is considered a Health Care Provider position by the State of Maine. Health Care Providers are required by the State of Maine to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, or evidence of vaccination in-process required for hire.
