Bright Horizons seeks a Director, Education and Curriculum who will lead our early education, curriculum, and assessment function, as well as projects and teams. The Director, Education and Curriculum will ensure that education and curriculum materials lead to effective and high-quality programs within each of our centers. We are looking for someone who will serve as a thought leader on education and curriculum; liaise to the broader world of early education; and collaborate across departments to meet our educational philosophy, Educator’s Promises, and company mission.

What you will be doing:

• Lead the development of proprietary curriculum resources, tools, assessment, and enrichments to foster whole-child development.
• Ensure curriculum materials and instructional practices respect and reflect diversity, foster inclusion, and result in equity of experience.
• Provide expertise and resources regarding effective instructional practices, including, but not limited to, project work and guided play.

What we hope you will bring to the role:

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in a related field is required with a Doctorate degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in either early childhood education, child development, or early childhood curriculum required.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience leading high-performing teams and high-quality programs required.
• Proven success in early childhood emergent curriculum design, writing, and development with expert knowledge of the progression of development in all domains and disciplines required.
• Strong understanding of reliable assessment with ability to analyze and respond to data required.
• Extensive experience with SEL and children with differing abilities and behaviors required.
• Documented record of national presentations, college level teaching, published articles or blogging required, expertise in Diversity & Inclusion in early education preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and department members simultaneously, balancing urgency and quality required.
• Exemplary writing and editing skills; intermediate to advanced computer software skills in Microsoft Office applications required.
• Frequent travel and close proximity to a major airport are required.
• This is a remote position with the ideal candidate based in the Eastern or Central time zone.
