The Director, FP&A manages the Individual Division FP&A team, leads analysis of financial results, the planning process and the measurement and maintenance of key financial metrics. This position is essential for performance management and to monitor the appropriate level of profitability. This position is expected to provide actionable information that enables good business decisions and is accountable for project initiatives and business insights within the division.

What you do

  • Lead actuarial modeling and scenario analysis in collaboration with others to support management in strategic decisions
  • Oversee regular and ad hoc management reporting that focuses on results, metrics and supports decision making
  • Oversee the planning process for the Individual Division working in collaboration with the Enterprise FP&A team
  • Deliver presentations and communicate to management financial results and forecasting
  • Utilize comprehensive technology solutions to drive automation and process improvement
  • Responsible for budgets and expense analysis for all activities of the Individual Division
  • Monitor the external environment to understand impacts of markets and industry trends on product performance
  • Responsible for training and developing team members
  • Other duties as assigned
What you bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries designation preferred
  • 7-10 years related experience required
  • 2-4 years of leadership or management experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of insurance products and concepts including actuarial theory and techniques
