Job Overview:

The Director of IT Infrastructure’s role is to strategize and align industry leading infrastructure technologies with business objectives, while leading the datacenter, networking, telco, and asset management teams at Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando (LHUO). This includes planning, decision making, implementation and maintenance of data center networking and storage, virtualization platforms, server management, asset/inventory management, and all enterprise networks including wireless technologies. Daily tasks range from strategizing and reporting results to executive leadership, troubleshooting critical issues, managing project milestones, and collaborating with IT personnel to achieve business objectives.

Job Duties:

· Lead and support the IT Infrastructure teams at LHUO, comprised of 15+ team members, to support 24x7x365 hotel operations

· Collaborate with Loews Hotels Home Office on priority projects and IT Security initiatives

· Drive the asset management process and manage inventory refresh cycles for over $20 million in technology assets

· Oversee operations and support of Citrix VDI/Apps environment, along with the underlying virtualization and storage platforms for the LHUO campus, which consists of 10 current sites, with continued growth expected over the next several years

· Maintain strong enterprise network and telco reliability by leveraging industry leading technologies such as fiber to the edge and cloud communications to enhance network redundancies and resiliency

· Schedule periodic tests to validate business continuity, data protection, and disaster recovery procedures

· Track, prioritize, and update status for ongoing and upcoming projects

· Manage adherence to change management processes to plan, document, and execute system upgrades, changes, and decommissions

· Travel across LHUO campus sites to manage projects and troubleshoot systems, as needed

· Ensure proper system documentation and guides for critical processes/systems are kept

· Assist with IT operational and budgeting responsibilities

· Manage vendor relationships and build strong partnerships

· Attend required operations and team meetings

· Other duties assigned

Requirements:

· Minimum of 10-years prior work experience required with:

o Datacenter networks (Cisco Nexus, VXLAN)

o Business-class networks, including wireless, using industry standard hardware (Cisco, Ruckus, HPE)

o Virtualization (VMware), SAN/HCI (Nutanix), and Data Protection technologies

· Possessing knowledge and expertise with:

o TCP/IP, Advanced routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)

o Multicast configuration and troubleshooting (IGMP)

o Configure and troubleshoot network topology protocols (STP)

o SolarWinds (IPAM, NPM, Netflow)

o Telco Management (Avaya)

o Fiber and copper network infrastructure (testing, troubleshooting)

o Network load-balancers (Citrix ADC/NetScaler/WARP)

o Data network architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols

o Wireshark (packet capture and analysis)

o MS Office (focus on Visio, Word and Excel)

Education:

· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field

· Cisco (CCNA) and/or CompTIA (Network+) certification, or equivalent hands-on experience

· VMware Certified Professional, or equivalent hands-on experience

· Citrix Certified Associate – Apps and Desktops, or equivalent hands-on experience
