JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Director of Maintenance directs the maintenance staff and assists with maintaining a safe, clean, and secure environment for the residents and staff in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Hires, trains, disciplines, and supervises maintenance employees
• Prepare work schedules for running the facility on a seven-day-a-week basis
• Knowledge of facility emergency procedures
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards as they relate to maintenance, i.e., PPE, Lock Out/Tag out
• Possesses a working knowledge of the Life Safety Code and all other regulations and laws pertaining to the physical environment
• Correct any fire hazards or needed repairs in the facility
• Identifies, reports to administration, and schedules repair of any equipment malfunction
• Maintains and updates the facilities Equipment Operation and Maintenance Manual
• Arranges for maintenance of facility owned vehicles
• Maintains HIPAA privacy, security and confidentiality standards
• Follows all established policies and procedures
• Performs any other necessary duties as assigned by Supervisor
