Job Description
The Director of Nursing for the MUSC Chester Nursing Center reports to the Chief Nursing Officer and Chester Nursing Center Administrator. The Director of Nursing oversees and provides leadership for all clinical and support activities for the Chester Nursing Center. This role interacts pro-actively with other directors, leaders, physicians, nurses and other members of the health care delivery team to achieve desired outcomes.
Additional Job Description
Minimum Training and Education: Master’s degree in Nursing preferred; or Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or a related field and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Five years of healthcare leadership experience in administration or in a closely related activity, of which at least three years were in a management capacity in a hospital environment.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Certified in Nursing Leadership or certification eligible with attainment within a year of hire. Registered Nurse by South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required from American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers. Certified in Nursing Leadership or certification eligible with attainment within a year of hire.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $93,000.00 - $113,000.00 per year
