Evergreen Commons Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is looking for an energetic and knowledgable Director of Nursing (DON) for our 242 bed facility that offers both short term rehabilitation and long term care.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, performing, coordinating and evaluating the activities of resident care on a 24 hour seven day a week basis.
Responsible for the oversight and functionality of the nursing department
Responsible for various quality assurance, performance improvement audits and reporting and delegating appropriate tasks out to others
Responsible to ensure resident focused meetings are taking place per schedule and nursing staff are prepared
The DON will oversee and work in conjuction with 2 ADONs.
Director of Nursing (DON) Requirements/Qualifications:
o Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Bachelor degree preferred.
o At least (3) years’ experience in geriatric nursing; (2) years’ supervisory experience, including progressive experience in Nursing Administration
o Experience in DOH survey process (preferred)
