About the Role:

As the Director of Operations (DOO) you will manage an assigned region of healthcare facilities supporting Atlas programs to maximize safety, client satisfaction, client savings and sustainability. The Director of Operations also has direct responsibility for all personnel within their region of healthcare facilities and works directly with finance, HR and other support functions on a regular basis within Atlas. The DOO is considered the primary senior Atlas liaison to a facility’s leadership team and reports into the Vice President of Operations (VP).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts regular one on one meetings with key points of contacts within each facility conveying strategy, tactics and performance
  • Attends facility task force meetings when needed and works with their Program Managers on all task force related materials presented
  • Executes quarterly facility audits to ensure delivery on the scope of work (SOW) solution
  • Provides regular recaps to key executive staff on defined Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Approves local field expenses and expense reports in accordance with budget expectations by facility
  • Oversees bi-weekly payroll process and ensures that Atlas programs are running as designed
  • Works with the VP on all final budgetary decisions that have direct facility impact and monitors margins based on controllable costs
  • Works with Human Resources, monitors and enforces compliance to all applicable legal, human resource, safety procedures, programs and laws
  • Oversees the hiring decision making and facility onboarding process of all personnel within their region including medical screening requirements and facility orientation
  • Ensures all applicable training is being delivered to new and existing employees consistently throughout their region
  • Strategically grooms talent for succession planning
  • Provides direct leadership to the Program Managers and trains others to exceed client’s expectations
  • Conducts in-person visits to each facility in their territory at intervals preapproved by VP of operations no less than bi-monthly. Exceptions to be reviewed with VP of Operations for approval.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to use good judgment, common sense and make good decisions.
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory/management experience
  • Must possess a strong knowledge and background in healthcare
  • Experience conducting safety risk assessments, job site analysis, product evaluations and injury prevention program development, implementation and training
  • 4-year degree from an accredited college preferred, preferably in Nursing, Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively train and mentor others
  • Strong business acumen; has the knowledge and understanding of the financial, accounting, marketing and operational functions with the ability to make good judgments and quick decisions in a healthcare environment
  • Proficient with basic computer applications and mobile devices along with various software programs (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and familiarity with scheduling and Time and Labor software
  • CPR/BLS Certification preferred
  • Physical requirements include long hours on your feet, the ability to sit at a workstation operating a device for at least 8 hours per day and lift up to 35 lbs
  • Ability to travel to designated locations as needed. Able to drive long distances within the territory with reliable transportation. Overnight travel may be required.

Atlas is a mobility solutions provider. We combine our on-demand data tracking software with on-site Mobility Technicians integrated into the hospital up to 24 hours a day. Mobility Technicians are available on a scheduled or emergency basis through continuous rounding on the units, as well as in-unit and bedside training. Our Mobility Technicians are able to capture leading, lagging, and real-time indicators through our Mobility Cloud Software to guide and support hospital leadership through decisions that impact complications due to immobility.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $82,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
