Director of Operations will develop and oversee the operational strategies for Clinical, Residential Care, IT, Transportation, Facilities, Security products, programs, and services. Provides oversight of all internal operations related to Clinical Staff and Patient Services. Provides supervision and coordination in all areas of patient care and their respective administrative support of services. Assists in the scoping and designing of new facilities, remodeling of current facilities, and supports the overall clinical and residential care operation.

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Chief Executive Officer

JOB DUTIES:

  • Directs and coordinates activities of all assigned departments for which responsibility is delegated to further attainment of goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for maintaining and renewing clinic licenses according to the DHS and FQHC regulations.
  • Assists the Chief Medical Officer and Director of Compliance in the development of appropriate quality assurance programs and monitors quality control for all operational functions.
  • Analyzes, prepares, and implements activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department progress toward stated goals and objectives.
  • Oversees agency grants and contracts with federal, state, and private entities.
  • Directs implementation of programs and scopes of work to ensure compliance with local, State, and Federal regulations governing the organization (OSHA, HRSA, IPA, etc).
  • Monitors patient care services insuring they meet organizational guidelines and patient needs.
  • Provides oversight and direction for all projects related to assigned departments’ products and services.
  • Responsible for required corrective action, coaching and development of direct reporting staff; as well as annual performance evaluations of direct reporting staff.
  • Provides direction and education to all levels of management in the effective use of data, information systems, security systems, and technology.
  • Manages all IT projects at a detailed level, while communicating status to senior management at a summary level.
  • Development and design of new facilities, the remodeling of current facilities, and supporting the overall operations of corporate facilities.
  • Performs internal audits and as required by any regulatory agencies.
  • Participates in formulating and administering clinic policies and planning.
  • Annual fiscal planning by analyzing and organizing office operations and procedures to ensure all departmental needs are met.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all medical, financial, or other sensitive materials and information and printed, electronic or verbal which may jeopardize the privacy of patients and/or employees.
  • Represents organization at public and professional meetings as requested by the CEO. Participates in organizational communication and public relations programs.
  • Performs other duties as requested by CEO.

JOB-RELATED QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Information Systems required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in management required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in project management or experience coordinating both development and technical staff required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a leadership position for a medium to large-scale IT environment with extensive networked/multi-platform system required.
  • Project Management Certification desired.
  • Knowledge of medical/practice management software applications desirable.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Must have FQHC (Federally Qualify Health Center)Experience
  • Highly motivated individual.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of the processes related to providing IT support and data center operations, including help desk, desktop support, data back/up recovery, and change management.
  • Ability to create effective written materials including presentations, analytical diagrams, system specifications, test plans, project schedules, resource utilization models, and task lists, in addition to reviewing the work of others. Execution leadership with the ability to assess and lead talent and possess the ability to drive for results in a short time frame.
  • Ability to manage across functional lines of the business to drive overall business results.
  • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Significant expertise in creating simple to complex project plans, timelines, and work breakdown structures.
  • Ability to interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relations with others.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive narrative and statistical reports.

Licenses or Certificates

  • Employee must possess a valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands

  • General Office Activities - Walking, Standing, Sitting, Talking, Typing, etc.
  • Driving to multiple locations in three (3) counties.
  • Lifting up to 35 pounds.

Pay: $95,402.00 - $135,000.00 per year
