Job Description

This position is responsible for the management of the College of Technology Center for New Directions Counseling Center; including hiring, training, and supervision of counselors, staff, and counseling interns. Other key responsibilities include:
  • Management of the counseling center's daily operations
  • Supervision of all CND staff, including completion of staff evaluations
  • Manage and support counseling services for clients and students
  • Manage grants and associated reports, including the writing of all necessary grants
  • Manage state and local grant budgets for CND operations
  • Facilitate various CND projects, including organizing and managing the Underrepresented Populations Conference
  • Oversee workshops, presentations, and career fairs for CND counselors, including College of Technology and START classroom presentations and orientations
  • Facilitate biannual Technical Advisory board meetings

Minimum Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in counseling, human services, or related field
  • Demonstration of effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstration of strong organizational skills
  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • Two years of experience in grant writing and grant management
  • Experience working with diverse populations, which may include but is not limited to, ethnicity, income, age, and gender
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience in higher education in serving, supporting, or mentoring underrepresented populations
  • Masters Degree AND current licensure in Counseling (either LPC or LCPC) along with ICA supervisor training
Additional Information

Salary will be between $63,000 and $67,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience.
