As a member of the Marketing team, the incumbent is responsible for amplifying and enhancing Foxwoods’ public image and brand awareness. Responsibilities include overseeing media relations, urgent communications, promotional PR and initiating and leading all social media initiatives. To successfully perform in this role, the incumbent must be able to understand and measure media values and identify local, regional, and national media opportunities. The incumbent must work closely with Tribal Government officials for consistent messaging across the Tribe’s holdings. Bachelor degree required with a minimum of six (6) years in public relations through a public relations or advertising agency or related field. Must have four (4) years of relevant experience leveraging social and mobile media in a corporate, marketing or brand-building capacity. Must have established portfolio of previous press releases and publicity campaigns. Must be an exceptional relationship builder. Must have existing, and be able to maintain, press relations with local, regional and national press writers. Proficient in social media platforms, browsers and basic software required in this field. Wide-ranging familiarity with major social sites / mobile platforms and services from a conceptual, marketing, technical, and feature-set perspective. Analytical, forecasting and research skills. Deep personal engagement in mobile marketing and social media best practices. Demonstrated ability to convey innovative concepts and embody leadership in social media and mobile marketing. Must possess exceptional written and verbal communications skills. May require state gaming approval or licensing. Must maintain a flexible work schedule, willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and rearrange vacations as needed. Must be present at all media events.
