The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc. using machine and manual cleaning methods. This role is responsible for day - to- day maintenance of machinery and other tools relevant to job performance. This department is responsible for the care of the restaurant’s china, glass, silver, as well as cooking utensils, and other service pieces. The Dishwasher also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility.

Your Responsibilities:

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in proper racks/trays to send through dish machine.
• Trouble-shoot dishwasher machine malfunctions.
• Sort and stack clean dishes, carry clean dishes to cooks’ line and other proper storage areas, rewash soiled dishes before delivering
• Ensure specialty service pieces are washed by hand and stored properly.
• Wash pots, pans and trays by hand
• Prevent loss by ensuring no silverware, glassware, or service pieces are discarded.
• Remove trash and garbage to dumpster
• Set up or break down dishwashing area
• Clean and roll/unroll mats and ensure proper placement for service.
• Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions using specific measurements specified.
• Sweep/mop floors
• Notify manager at any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
• Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken.

• (1) years’ work-related experience
• High School Diploma, or equivalent level of education, required (Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, speak and interpret documents in clear English. Ability to communicate in secondary language is a plus.
• Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of the area in a timely basis.
• Must be able to multi-task and manage in high volume, and high stress environments. Posses a “roll up your sleeves” attitude
• Must have manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and stretch. Can frequently lift up to 30 pounds, as well as work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule. (Including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays)
