Dispatcher Job at Gaubert Oil Company
Job Summary
The Dispatcher is responsible for safely and efficiently dispatching drivers. The position is located in Thibodaux, LA.
Responsibilities
· Setting up and administering daily dispatch operations safely and efficiently
· Tracking drivers to facilitate timely deliveries
· Manage customer site inventory by reviewing electronic monitors daily, dispatching appropriately and entering orders into accounting system
· Receive orders from customer service
· Continuously monitor emails and respond in a timely manner
· Reviews, researches and resolves discrepancies
· Maintains open order report weekly
· Keep good communications with drivers and staff
· Take after hour and weekend call
Experience/Qualifications
· Previous dispatching experience required
· Customer service experience and knowledge of D.O.T. regulations preferred
· Experience using Excel, E3, and TMW is a plus
· Must be organized and able to multi-task and work in a demanding environment
· Ability to work as an individual and as a team
· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
· High level of attention to detail
