Dispatcher - Second Shift Job at Holland Special Delivery
We are looking to add another leader on our second shift team Fleet Ops team. This is a Permanent, Full Time position Monday night - Friday night.
This person will be a point of contact for drivers. They will help drivers solve issues, track orders, track equipment and navigate the changing arena of logistics.
The candidate must be dependable, a good communicator, cool under pressure, have nimble intellect, able to multi-task and be comfortable making decisions.
Dispatch experience is helpful, but not necessary. Character, dependability, willingness to learn, strong logic skills are far more important.
This work is fast paced and part of a larger team that provides excellent supply chain solutions across the Midwest.
Responsibilities
· Help drivers do their job removing obstacles and providing information.
· Receive calls and record significant information
· Problem Solve
· Receive and dispatch orders for products or deliveries
· Prioritize calls according to need and concerns
· Watch the route and status of trucks to coordinate and prioritize their schedule
Requirements:
· Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook.
· Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
· Active listener with excellent communication skills
· Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
