Job Title: District Registrar

Reports to: School Business Official

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hourly

Essential Functions:

Under the general supervision of the School Business Official, the District Registrar assists in the efficient operations of the District Business Office. The District Registrar performs the following responsibilities and duties including any other duties as assigned:


  • Serve as liaison for the District Office including welcoming visitors and fielding phone inquiries.
  • Handle correspondences and mail for the District Office.
  • Coordinate and prepare the SRI reports and Certified Enrollment along with certifying these reports to the Department of Education upon review by the Superintendent/Business Manager.
  • Prepare demographic information as needed.
  • Work in collaboration with the Director of Food Service regarding Free and Reduced applications and monthly reporting.
  • Coordinate background check process for substitutes, volunteers, and employees.
  • Maintain Keep N Track.
  • Assist Superintendent with weather alerts.
  • Updates social media for District-level announcements.
  • Updates District-related webpages.
  • Oversees Infinite Campus (Student Information System) for District-level responsibilities.
  • Coordinates the Open Enrollment process.
  • Works in collaboration with the Director of Human Resources regarding relevant matters related to the advertising, screening, application, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees; also includes the offboarding of employees leaving the district.
  • Process monthly payroll.
  • Assist with W2 and 1095 preparation.
  • Maintain employee leave data.
  • Maintain employee benefit information and work with the School Business Official to disseminate new benefit information or changes to benefits.
  • Coordinate staff lane changes in conjunction with the Business Manager and Director of Human Resources.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Prior payroll and related experience in a Business Office preferred.
  • Basic knowledge and functionality in various communication and computer platforms including online navigation, word processing, and spreadsheet programs.
  • Ability to learn new skills as and adjust to change as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy in detail oriented job.
  • Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Terms of Employment:

  • 260 day contract or otherwise determined by building need.
  • Wage will be in the range of $20 an hour based on skills and experience.
